Don't feel like cooking

Have you ever had nights where you just didn't feel like cooking? I had one of those this week. So we had sloppy joes, tater-round, and fry sauce.

Devin and I love the tater-rounds more than tater-tots because they are crunchier.

Ground Beef $2.50

Buns $0.99 I bought the cheap Western Family kind
Taters $.75 (assuming you ate half the bag)

Now, I'm sure that many of you non Idaho and Utah readers are wondering: WHAT IS FRY SAUCE? Well, I'm going to share a simple recipe with you that will change the way you eat fries. Fry Sauce.

Pull out the ketchup and the miracle whip. Put it inside a bowel. Stir it around. The end. I usually just do the proportions half and half. Play with it and find out how you like it. Give it a try and let me know! Oh! And, don't forget to go to Miracle Whip's facebook for a $1.00 off coupon!

Mini Wheats Fruit in the Middle - REVIEW

Yesterday, I got this coupon in my email. Since I was going grocery shopping, I printed it off and decided to check it out. The new Mini Wheats happened to be on sale at Broliums for $3.79 (.80 saving) and so I used my coupon making them $2.79

We had them this morning for breakfast. Devin was a little hesitant because he usually doesn't like Mini-wheats. they were pretty good though! I was expecting there to be more filling than there was, but you could still taste the extra flavor.

Now, I have a question for all of you. What do you think of Mail-in-Rebates? This is on the box:

So, I can get this box of cereal for free if I mail in my receipt and the upc code. It can take up to 8 weeks to get the refund. Spend $0.44 on the stamp to get $2.79 back in the mail. I guess they'd probably give me the $3.79 because the coupon isn't next to the cereal on the receipt and doesn't specify what it's for. If that's the case, I guess I could make $0.56 after getting my rebate. Still, is it worth it? What do you think?

Saved $8.64 on my grocery bill

I just got done grocery shopping and saved $8.64 after coupons and buying items on sale. I shop on Wednesday because here in Rexburg, that's when the new sales start. If you want to follow along this week, or just want great deals, check these out:

Darigold sour cream and cottage cheese coupons here. 0.40 off. I did notice that Broliums has some of these at their store.

Lets do some thought provoking math. If I saved $8.64 every week, I would save $449.28/year. Cool, huh?
